Main achievements and ongoing projects

      Creation of a severe immunodeficient mice, NOD/Shi-scid, IL-2Rnull mice (NOD/SCID/IL-2Rnull mice, NOG mice) and development of applications for various animal experimentation and testing systems

      Creation of rasH2 mice, in which a human prototype c-Ha-ras oncogene is introduced, and evaluation of their practical usefulness

    A high level of accuracy was achieved in carcinogenicity testing for drugs and the testing period was reduced to six months from the conventional two years
